About GirlRider

The GIRLRIDER mailing list is a Greater Pacific Northwest-centric collection of women who currently ride or are interested in learning to ride. Most of us own our own bikes and prefer the independence of piloting our own machine rather than spectating from the back.

Though this list is primarily for women, exceptions may be made occasionally. Chocolate Chip cookies work well as bribery in these cases. Women from anywhere are welcome to subscribe. The list is not moderated, and is intended for socializing. Featured topics may include: group rides, riding partners, places to sleep, restaurant recommendations, sleeping partners, places to ride, beer recommendations, T-shirt preferences, parties, panties, pantries, pastries, pasties, patsies, waffles, wheat, rain.

To Subscribe to GirlRider

You can subscribe to GirlRider by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.

Who pays for it?

The facilities and service for this and several other motorcycle mailing lists are provided by micapeak.com.
H. Marc Lewis (marcl at micapeak.com) owns and operates the micapeak.com domain and pays all the associated costs: buying the hardware and software, maintaining it, and paying all the necessary fees to keep it connected to the Internet. He does this as a hobby -- micapeak.com is definitely a non-profit deal. Once a year (Jan/Feb) he solicits donations to help with the ongoing costs.
