Me too.  I figure if I spend at most $8K for a new bike I can absorb the
loss if it's my fault.  I've always bought any new bike or used bike cash.
Never had full coverage but the liability has always seemed "reasonable" vs.
the insurance on a new 4X4 truck.....

I use Progressive. Basic liability only. MC insurance is just a tax so that 
I can ride. I pay as little tax as possible.
