Would've loved to have seen it.

Ah yes the days our yoot when noise meant power (HD guys are still there).
Had a '51 Meteor Tudor with a 100 hp flat head eight, 2 drive shafts with
the ends cut off , welded to the frame and the exhaust manifolds channelled
into them. A down shift was deafening. But shut off the ignition for 5
seconds on a down grade (like the main drag in Penetangushene or Midland)
then switch it back on would ignite the raw gas in the drive shaft, damn
near lift the car in the air, rattle every window on the street and put on a
light show that you just can't get with neon. The local constabulary
frowned upon these antics.
