Gettin' Ready for the Burlington Bash

The Geeper was ready for a new chain and sprockets and some new shoes
anyway. The chain wouldn't keep an adjustment for more than a couple hundred
miles so I knew it was time for a new one. 21,500 mi on the old DID. The
tires were shot as well. The Diablo front and Diablo Strada rear went 6700
mi. The front still had a little left but the rear had just worn a 6" line
through the tread rubber into the inner carcass rubber. All in all, I was
quite happy with the combo. They were very good wet or dry and the mileage
was quite reasonable considering the level of grip. I put a set of Diablo
Corsa's on that had a couple track days on them so I figured I might as well
burn them up since I have the Daytona now and the GPZ won't be going to the
track anymore. I'll go back to the Diablo regular front and Strada rear when
these are done. Chain and sprockets were replaced with Sprocket Specialists
and DID of course. I'm ready for a great ride!
