Lately as the weather has been warming up my GPZ has become very difficult
to start. This only occurs after riding it for a while, then stopping for a
few minutes to an hour and then trying to start it back up while the engine is
still warm.

If the battery or switch doesn't cure it, try cracking the throttle
about 1/3 to 1/2 open while you crank it, mine suffers from the same symptoms
as yours on very hot days, and it seems like it is boiling the gas and
flooding itself. Cracking the throttle while cranking helps to clear it out a lot
faster, just be ready to let off quickly as soon as it starts up.

      Good luck
     Mike
