Andy, My experience has always been with tighter valves when I had the gpz. Never had to go up a size in shim, always down. Keep in mind in the gpz valve train, you got cams and rocker arms that can wear. If that's the case in your situation, I can see the clearances enlarging. Odd, but possible.
