Yeah.  I've got a 1978 green  900 sitting in a barn near Micksburg.  The 
chromed rear fender is pitted with rust and the original 4 into 4 exhaust 
pipes have holes at the juntion points where the pipes meet the mufflers. 
Any condensed moisture would pool in this bend and rot the pipes.
