Emissions mess

One of the main reasons I went with a Stage 3 jet kit and pods was I was
tired of messing with that airbox. That, and the fact that it woke up the
   old GPZ!

First time ever for me, I pulled the carbs yesterday and what a BIATCH! Scary p
art will be getting it all back in...

I found out that my bike does not have a silencer, which can only mean one thin
g. CA model. Even though it was imported to Boise and then shipped to Tacoma.

So what in all this mess of emissions stuff do I have to keep? I wanna ditch it
all. I have little canister(S), hoses, stuff coming from the tank, going to th
e fairing... I really just want to pull it all out.

So perhaps some of you can tell me what to yank and what to leave. Also, I have
the block off plates yet uninstalled...

Good luck Ralph!

Tomorrow, I'm jumping on Reserection Red and heading up to Dave Beard's house.
'Bout a 5 or 6 hour ride depending on if I slab it or not. She's all packed and
ready to go. See you tomorrow bro.

Just completed another valve adjustment and a carb sync on the big red machine
and its purring like a kitten now. Several valves had become tight. I changed 6
shims. 1 had become loose. Did a carb sync with my brand new Morgan Carb Tune
that I bought last summer and had never used till now. I actually got the carbs
perfect. All that's left is to change the oil with the new amsoil I ordered
today, and I'll be all set. I also put a new valve cover gasket and figure 8
gaskets in today. The bike should be ready to roll come May 29th. Alabama here
I
come!!!
