I Thank God for armed Americans, and to a lesser extent all us armed Canucks. The NWO would've run over the Earth for good by now if it wasn't for an armed America. Now let's see how much flack THAT comment gets :-)

We are allowed to have them so we do. We believe in protecting ourselves (as
in the case of breaking from the Brits) and from criminals. How's that gun
ban working out reducing crime?

Does it have a tube?
Did you inspect for nails?
Did you check the valve? (Put some spit on the valve and see if it bubbles).
Have you tried rolling the wheel slowly in a tub of water to see if it
bubbles from the wall of the tyre?

We generally shoot stab and beat each other to death the same as every other
country on the face of the earth.
We're not as proficient as the Americans. Toronto vs Detroit- both cities
relativly the same size about 3 hours apart by car. Murders so far in
2010 --Toronto - 60 --- Detroit - 380

Detroit wins???

I bought my wife a Springfield XD45, she got me a Remington 870, folding
stock, 18" barrel. Guess who shoots my shotgun? 00 and 3" slugs. She loves
the thing, I need to get it back.
So I thought she needed a rifle and got a screaming deal on 2 AK-47's, gave
her one. She hates it- says it doesn't kick enough and bought herself a
30-06.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get my 12g back. I asked her how she'd
like one of those Saigas with a drum mag. Nope, likes the chack chack of a
pump.

Any ideas? This is getting expensive. Lol.

I just got an email from my sister Lesley who is vacationing in Europe.
She had her purse (with ID, Passport and some $) stolen in the Paris subway.
She went to the police and turned in a report. By the time she was done
with the police report the subway had stopped running and the police offered
her a ride back to her hotel.
She got in a car with three undercover cops who she said looked like high
school seniors. They crossed the city without stopping. It was are on the
gas, on the horn, on the lights and on the siren. She didn't think she took
a breath the entire trip.
She also figured Euro Disney could pull itself out of the hole by selling
rides with these guys.

Maybe there are some people wilder behind the wheel than mad dog Buehrle,
but I haven't forgotten my 100 mph ride down University Avenue in Denver

Worst case you could use a can of fix-a-flat but it'll be a mess when the

Does it have a tube?
Did you inspect for nails?
Did you check the valve? (Put some spit on the valve and see if it bubbles).
Have you tried rolling the wheel slowly in a tub of water to see if it
bubbles from the wall of the tyre?

If you want your 12 gauge back and she wants more kick, it will be
expensive. You can try to find a used Ithaca "Street Sweeper" 10 gauge auto
with an 18" tube or a Browning pump 10 gauge pump both of which will set you
back nearly 3x the cost of another 870 Remington.
If you go for the 10 gauge I would suggest you start either reloading or
remortgage your home.

If its a slow leak it can be difficult to find. You can make a mixture of
diahwashing liquid and water about 1 to 5 and put it on your tire gently
with a paint brush and look for bubbles. If its a hot day this isn't too
good as the liquid will dry too quickly. If you don't want to take the
wheel off the bike. Find a trough (like the ones used for wall paper) or
someone else's flower box.. Put your bike on the center stand slide the
trough under the bike lift it up and block it in place with 2x4s or
something similar. Fill the trough with water inflate your tire to about 60
psi or so and check for bubles coming out. If its a slow leak this may take
time and patience.

I agree with Sid, I'd pull the rear wheel and put about 50 lbs of air
in it and do the tire in water test.

Spray with soapy water, look for bubbles. Have you had the tire changed
recently? Most shops don't clean the bead area on the rims during tire
changes, which can lead to slow leaks due to swarf.

I live in suburbia, not too far from Detroit. I can tell ya, just from watching the news, it's just youth violence. A couple weeks ago, I saw a story where a 12 year old girl got in a fight with a 13 year old girl in the D.. 12 year old goes inside, gets a gun, shoots the 13 year old a couple times. Not the first time this has happened this year either. And that's why I keep my ass in the suburbs :D

Agreed. there's something magical about the mechanical interface of moving
parts in my hand. I also find disassembly and cleaning of my firearms almost
a 'zen' thing. It allows me to focus on something in my hand, rather than in
my larger life, know what I mean? (and it doesn't hurt that the smell of
Hoppes #9 makes me smell like I always thought a man should).

Heck, the other day I took apart my old beat up 10/22 Ruger and put a couple
hours into tearing apart the whole firing and trigger mechanism (while
watching a Rush retrospective). Very relaxing, and now the action and
trigger are as slick as butter (or as slick as a 20yr old prairie dog rifle
can be).
