Those don't need to be replaced with metal for racing?

Actually, reading it again I guess the "engine sprocket cover"
is just the plastic guard over the countershaft sprocket.  But
is the "plastic outer clutch cover" cosmetic or a return to the
first-gen plastic clutch cover?
