Thanks fellows.
While they (people at Woodcraft) did not deny that it could work,
their official response is that it will not work.
Ted, thanks, but I actually don't care for the stock footrests any
more than anyone else does. :) It's the spring-return pieces that the
stock footrests mount to that I want to keep. I am using some
slash-cut footrests with ridges on them that I got from Outlaw Racing
Products that are simply OEM replacements, and so far I really like
them. Also this way I can pick up a different set just for rain use.
I have adapters that go 1 inch up and 1 inch back, I just want a
little more distance up and back and I think I'll have what I want!
