repair freeze plugs?

The shop who rebuilt my motor last time they popped out (due to my 
failure to put in real anti-freeze during winter storage) claimed he 
could not order a new set - the dealer stated it was not a part which 
could be ordered. We stretched the old ones a little, sealed them with 
some goop and punched them back in. I raced on them for a season like 
that with no trouble. FWIW. Peace. -W
