Hm, I didn't even think about machining the jaws. It would be pretty
trivial - just tighten the empty chuck, and turn the smallest step of
the jaws to the desired dimension. But your point is taken, it does
sound like a simple jig.

How does the saying go? Different chucks for different folks...
