yes, just don't hammer it.
you can use hammer as pry bar between tabs and cases.

Would the spots be the small tab? One on the bottom, one on along the right
or forward side, and I am guessing that the third would be towards the rear?
Is the bottom of that case ok to leverage the pry bar on?
