I use tig but mig would work, it is steel.
you do have to wash tank before welding. I use soap and pressure washer to
make sure there are no fumes in there.
if not in rush I keep tank empty and wented for months and than wash it.

What do you use to weld it? Would a mig work if on a light setting? I have
one from last fall that broke and have not fixed yet.
