Rear brake light switch

That would explain it. I have an aftermarket lever. I guess i can do without or 
go back to stock.

  There's a U shaped bit of tin that attaches to the brake lever, and 
then passes underneath the lever and bracket to come up on the swingarm 
side of the foot hanger.
