how do you swap 2nd gen fuel pump?

It's tight- just have to wiggle/force it out a bit.

I tried.  The 5 allen bolts holding the pump to the tank were easy, but I can't seem to make the pump come out of the hole.  It appears to be .5mm too wide.  I'm wondering if there is some catch I'm supposed to push to make it fit?
