Comments:
It is the most fun I've ever had. First street bike was 89 FZR 600, lots of wheelies, 88 GSXR 750 slingshot, lots of wheelies, always came down hard! (then went back to school) CB400ss, no wheelies even uphill... I got this bike with 4000 miles, and have 3500 or so since, will be riding it till 30,000 (mabey) My wife likes to ride on back (yes wheelies too)

Modifications: MANY; INDIGO S/S & C/F HIGHRISE FULL SYSTEM (50MM I.D.-A BIT TOO BIG FOR STREET?) RICHENED UP ECU WITH YOSHI RACE BOX, CBR6 REAR SHOCK CONVERSION (BIT OF FABRICATION REQUIRED BUT WELL WORTH THE RESULT - NOW THE BIKE ACTUALLY HANDLES!), CUT OFF No.PLATE & BLINKER MOUNTS, MINI C/F BLINKERS (REAR MOUNTED TO UPPER LUGGAGE HOOKS), CUT OFF LOWER LUGGAGE HOOKS, FITTED STAINLESS BRAKE LINES WITH ANODISED FITTINGS (BIG IMPROVEMENT), SHORTENED LEVERS FOR 2 FINGER OPERATION, PAINTED WHEELS & DISC CARRIERS SATIN BLACK, TINGATE CLIP ONS (20MM WIDER & FLATTER BEND),REMOVED STD. Problems: THE DREADED TL TICK,(DOES TL STAND FOR TICKS LOUDLY?) RECALL FOR TANK DONE, SHITHOUSE FUEL ECONOMY (PROBLY MY FAULT), I HAVEN'T HAD ANY STUMBLING OR OIL SEEPAGE OR FRAME CRACKS OR CLUTCH SLIP OR FUEL IN THE OIL BUT IF YOU ASK ME THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT NEEDS FIXING ON A TL IS THE F*#@ING PIECE OF SHIT ROTARY DAMPER, IT IS THE ONLY REASON THE BIKES AREN'T SELLING ANYMORE, IT GAVE THE TL A REPUTATION FOR SHOCKING HANDLING AND IT DESERVED IT. MODIFYING IT WILL ONLY BE A BAND AID (OK FOR STREET RIDING & THE SQUARE TYRE BOYS) IF YOU ARE A GENUINELY FAST PEDDLER (BE HONEST) DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR & JUNK THE DAMPER & PUT A OHLINS/FOX/MAXTON/TECHNO/ETC. SHOCK CONVERSION IN, IT TURNS A LAMB INTO A LION. (IT WILL ALSO DOUBLE THE LIFE OF YOUR REAR TYRE).
Comments:
THESE THINGS ARE THE BEST THING ON 2 WHEELS, AWESOME V-TWIN GRUNT, GUN HANDLING (NOW!), TOP BRAKES (6 POTS ARE A WASTE OF TIME & CASH), EFFORTLESS 100MPH+ WHEELIES & STILL THE SECOND BEST LOOKING BIKE IN THE WORLD.(EARLY 1100 KATANA!), CHICKS DIG 'EM

Accessories: My bike is fitted with:-Tank bra,Grab rail,Mega cycle pipes, lite skin(headlight protector),cruise control, brass swing arm lifting lugs, K&N air filter,
Modifications: Took apart steering damper and skimed down piston, so steering is not so dead
Problems: My bike developed a crack in the frame, near rotary damper, and also a leek at the water pump breather. Both of which were replaced under warranty.
Comments:
Mech said to check Rota-damper bolts every 1000km. First big twin I have ridden and I love the low-mid range power, and that sound! Will soon be putting 6 pot calipers from GSXR750 (leaver a bite spongy). Is it possible to fit a standard shock instead of the rotary unit? Has anyone tried the rear shock unit from Technoflex?

Another modificationset huh? But it works fine now!! My best handling bike so far..wheelies are improving! Ang I thought a Blade was good..

Problems: non, sofar, but i´m trying to find the perfect set-up for the circuit, so if anyone found out which that is, please mail me!!!
Comments:
Great bike, lots of power, wheelies were never easier, what a torque. Is there anybody who has a solution for the passengersteps, because they have been removed because of the high Sebring exhausts, but i would like to have some again. Recently (september 2000) had my first experience on the famous tt circuit of Assen, great, but kneedown did not succeed. I heard a lot about changing te damper on te back, to make the bike drive better in high speed corners, my bike wants to slide with te rear end. Has anybody tried changing the backdamper or something else, please mail me.

Accessories: Alarm System with red indicator light in dash; Corbin Seat; wired for radar detector (Saeng/TA Cockpit Mount included); red/black RoadGear tank bag; red/black RoadGear tail bag; Dow Cover.
Modifications: Gorgeous Hindle Full Stainless Exhaust System, Second-generation brain (not the slower third-gen fix, much faster than 1998 and 1999 models); DynoJet Power Commander (remaps fuel injection); steel-braided break lines (front and rear); replaced gas tank (this fixed fuel leakage under warranty before recall); replaced rotary damper under warranty; Replaced Clutch Ramps under warranty (took care of minimal slippage under hard accelleration at low rpm in high gear...due to monsterous, joyous torque).
Problems: The bike works like a charm now. Everything's great--after a year-and-a-half of patience, care, and attention. (Never had problem of gas in oil--see Mods. section above for specific other fixes.)
Comments:
This bike sold last winter for $6500 and the new owner turned around and traded it in for a new Honda CBR before the summer even started. The dealer then sold it within a few days. I'd be really thrilled to find out who currently owns it. Please email me if you happen to know--or if you're the one who picked it up from Stamford Motorsports in Connecticut. I'd love to hear from you.

Problems: big screw in back tier, the bike felt like the front had gone flat, making the bike over steer. I couldn't understand it at first so I opend it up on a hill. the bike bucked and weaved manically and when I stopped a quater of a mile later with one very hot brear tire. Phantom nuetrals, only happened once or twice but I have hit a neutral between the higher gears. I think that it was after a 'week' gear shift. Blowen alarm fuse that immobilised me 30 miles from home. Bike Total loss after car pull's out infront of me on a moor road, I could not avoid the collision and hit the car with a glancing blow. My kit saved me from serious injury, smashed car head lamp with foot landed on head on road. Car driver did not stop. Police caught them a couple of weeks later, driver banned for 1-year.

Ok, so I saw a good deal on a mint bike. I have no experience on bikes above 600cc. I had to gracefully lay this big boy down within the first 5 minutes of riding. I will get the hang of it though. Just a lot of bike and heavier than I am used to.

Problems: Have the standard issue of stuttering between 3-4k rpm. I have had smoke comming out of the tailpipes. Suzuki customer service is absolutly rotten. They have had my bike for five months. I finally had to sue them under the lemon law. They still do not know what is causing the problem. I recommend that you do not buy suzuki if you want decent customer service.
