Dirtbike Toolkit Checklist

From the M/C Checklists Web page.

This is a checklist for creating a dirtbike toolkit, for use when riding offroad. Some of the specific tools depend on what bike(s) you are putting the kit together for. Check your bike and find out what minimal set of wrenches and sockets you will need, in what sizes.

Here's how it works:

  1. Uncheck the checkboxes of the items you do not need. (This is easier than having to check the boxes of the things you do need).
  2. Use the blank items at the end of each section to add special items which don't appear in the given list.
  3. your options (font, size, title, etc.)
  4. Click the  Make a Checklist  button at the bottom of the page and you will get a custom page suitable for printing which you can use on your trip.

The above list of stuff works for my Yamaha WR250F dirtbike, on which pretty much all the fasteners are 8, 10, 12 or 14mm. I use a MSR™ Enduro Pak fanny pack to hold everything. It provides room to add some snacks, some extra stuff, and to carry a thin rainproof jacket in case I get cold or it starts to rain.

Hint #1: The checklist will appear in a separate window, so you can keep this window open and tweak the options until the final result looks like you want.

Hint #2: Save the final HTML page via the FILE -- SAVE AS menu function. That way you can reprint it whenever you like without having to come back here to regenerate it.

Hint #3: Annotate the list after you use the toolkit to add missing items, or delete items you didn't need. That way you can refine your list and make it better. The "two checkbox" option gives you a way to mark the items you actually used, not just packed.
