"new" motor

Since the engine on my GPZ seems to have bit the dust, I found another on Ebay for a rediculous price. I paid a grand total of $56 for this engine and it was located 45 minutes away so I was able to go get it with my truck. I don't have any very relative info on it other than a compression test that the cycle place that I bought it from did on it. The compression is good in all cylinders and the engine "looks" good. I have no idea of the condition of the bottom end or the pistons/rings etc, so it's kind of a crap shoot. But for $56, what the heck right? The guy at the cycle shop said that the bike had been given to them incomplete by somebody that didn't want to deal with it, so they've sold it off piece by piece. The engine covers, timing plate cover, clutch cover, alternator cover and sprocket cover have been chrome plated and actually look kinda cool. The clutch cover, however, will need to be redone since a lot of the plating has flaked off. I'm debating whether to get
it redone, or just use the black one from the other engine. So far, I have the old engine pulled from the bike and I'm gonna do some cleaning/repainting on the frame before putting the "new" engine in. That's what winters are for right? My back, legs, shoulders and arms are so danged sore from hefting those motors around I feel like I've been pumping iron for a couple hours nonstop. I'm such a pile of mush anymore. I'll post up some pics when I get 'em.
