Heli-Coil is the way to go. A large one is going to be pricey though, I
would expect $~35+

Subject: Stripped Oil Plug Threads on the GPZ
I was changing the motor oil this morning and noticed "a number" of aluminum
threads from the engine came out with the bolt. Can anyone recommend a
repair?
Should I look for an oversize bolt and tap a new set of threads? Or, use an
insert? Or do something else? Does anyone know the original bolt size?
Has anyone else dealt with this, and if so, how was your long-term result?
Thanks in advance, john
