Andy, I'll weigh in with this: It'll cost you nothing to hold on to her 
until after the surgery is done and you're feeling better. don't get rid of 
somehting now you'll only probably regret later. Better off to have the 
suregery and then decide after you are fully healed. Best to wait till you 
know for certain what your riding future holds.
