Good advice.
I tried to crank mine when this happened some years back. Wouldn't crank so I got a hefty push start and .....
Busted two teeth on the clutch drive gear on the crankshaft. The end result: complete rebuild with a new crankshaft.

Before you crank it over, change the oil. You probably filled your
crankcase with gas. Bad juju. Yes, I've done it when my petcock failed
and I had crud in my gas.
