Any hints? Battery in Maglite went rampant

Hi,

I cleaned the tube out with a wire brush and then treated it with soda (my
hands feel all bizarre now)..
Checking the french site of Duracell was without result. Might be I'll send
them a mail or so, we'll see. Right now the mag lite is drying in front of
the fireplace..in a safe distance though.
