My youngest daughter took and passed her MSF class in Portsmouth, NH last 
weekend as well. Weather wasn't much better there. I was in Boston last week 
(during the boil water advisory, couldn't get a cup of coffee for 2 
days -horrible!) and her and I went MC shopping. Ended up buying a new 
Vulcan 500 LTD and she is really excited. She's like the son I never 
had.....sniff, sniff

Good for you on the handgun app. Good luck! I wish VT had one, but we
don't. Carry if you want to, as long as you're not a felon, mentally ill,
etc. 2nd Amendment = Freedom to carry.

Two good ways to feed your new hobby... 1). 9mm is WAY cheaper to shoot
than .45, and possibly better to teach the Mrs. with (though .22 is best
for that); and 2). See if there's a USPSA or IDPA club near you and go
check out one of their matches... Fun and informative!!
