MRA touring screen

I have the MRA Touring Screen - not the Vario but the regular screen.
The benefits are that it takes A LOT of wind pressure from your chest
and offers much better protection in rain etc. The downside is that
helmet noise level increases significantly as all the turbulence from
the upper edge hits you right at visor level (I'm 1.82 m). But since I
always wear earplugs it doesn't really bother me. It doesn't rock my
head or anything, it's just an increased noise level. I've used the MRA
Touring Screen for many years and don't want to switch back to the stock
screen.

I know a couple of German GPZ'ers who have the MRA Variable Touring
Screen and I once asked them for their opinion. One said it didn't make
any difference at all compared to the MRA Touring Screen, the other said
it did improve the airflow somewhat. All in all not enough to convince
me to spend the money on one. The vario part is supposed to lift the
airflow above your head, but as I understand it, it just lifts the
turbulent air stream a little bit at best. If you are short it might
help. If you are tall you'll probably have to take the benefits at the
cost of an increased noise level.
