495km in 7h11min + breaks - compared with the distances you cover in the US
that's nothing, but I can throw in at least 5'000 m in altitude (from
Locarno at 200m elevation over pt. st bernard (roughly 2200m) down and up
again to Cormet de Roselend (2000m).
