The next day Debb and I went for a horseback ride around the palm grove, past the springs, and up onto the bluff S.E. of town. It was very rough going. Damn near everything growing there is sharp and pointy and either wants to poke you, sting you, or bite you. Debb and I both got cactus spines stuck in our legs.
