I used to use the OEM bags with my SS2r, and they do NOT fit with the  
stock can. I had the R end of the "S" pipe cut, rotated a few  
degrees, welded, and a new hanger made. With about 1" clearance I  
never had any heat damage to the bag.

That was until I high centered it and bent the "S" pipe (damned dirt  
bike upbringing). I've been told that you can just heat the R side of  
the "S" pipe and bend it to clear, but I have not gotten around to  
trying it yet.
