I remember seeing that in Popular science or popular mechanics.  I was 
riding at the time and didn't have that much faith in Gyroscopes to keep 
that machine upright.  The tires do look like the ones that were on my 1947 
HD EL 1000 (Harley 61 cubic inch knuckle head).  As me sainted old mom used 
to say "there's my two - 47 knuckleheads--Jimmy & Harley. The bike came from 
the factory with a sidecar and a 3 speed tranmission with reverse, hence the 
car tires.
