My GPZ chain saga

I've noticed the chain on this V Strom is no where near the quality of the 
one on my GPz.  I adjusted the chain on the vstrom twice on the Labrador run 
and I noticed it is a little slack after the 1700 km (1100 mile) Georian Bay 
run.  I don't think I averaged adjusting the GPz chain once a season.  I 
sold the bike with 72,000 km (45,000 miles)and the original chain & 
sprokets.
