The FJR is not really an automatic. It's some kind of clutchless system, but it doesn't behave like a normal automatic transmission does. Not sure exactly how it works.

Heck, Yamaha is doing the same thing with  the FJR1300. I think we'll see
more and more "automatic" trannys on new bikes.

Its true!!
I heard they actually sold one of these to some candy ass in the northeast.
