Electrical Question

If its the same brown wire I'm thinking of, its in the headlight circuit.
When I switched to a 100W high beam bulb several years ago, I overheated
this wire and melted the insulation. I repaired it and went back to a lower
wattage headlamp. Permanent fix in all cases is to install relays in the
   headlamp circuit.

I couldn't find in the archives, but wasn't there a rewiring solution for
the too-narrow gauge main wiring (brown)? IIRC, it involved wiring in a
   relay.
Any listers recall this? It's come up because I was going over the bike and
saw some corrosion. She'll still start an run ok, but I'd rather not be
   surprised.
