New ECU 16-Tooth front sprocket Suzuki damper
Problems:
Usual stumbles to start with. New ECU made big improvement. Bike stalled a few times after new ECU when decelerating. Increasing idle to 1350rpm and resetting TPS seems to have cured it. Wire for hi-beam detached itself from switch. This looked to be a badly soldered connection. Resoldered - no further problems. New tuning procedure and some Suzuki tinkering has made this bike perfect.

I have had no problems with this unit. This Bike was not meant to be ridden like a Virago. So you should not see any problem at 3000RPMS if it is ridden right. My Unit did not need the new CPU It was perfect out of the crate.

Modifications:
Two teeth down on front sprocket (to 15), air bleed screws set 3 turns out to address the low rpm surges, "pink wire" mod.
Problems:
Low rpm surge/miss
Comments:
Going down two teeth really reduced the surge/miss, which would happen at time between 2000 and 4000, usually at around 3700-3800. That of course is crusing speed with stock gears. I turned the air bleed screws out to 3 turns, and had to resync the TB's twice to find a happy medium. A friend suggested to check at idle, 2000, 3000, and 4000, and go from there. On my bike, cyl #1 was high at idle, then #2 was high at 2000, then #1 at 3000, and even at 4000. I was forced to "best guess" by ignoring the mercury and just listening to the motor. The result is a very "normal" motorcycle that is very sensitive to throttle changes. I installed the steering dampner, but had had no handling problems whatsoever, from dragging knees at 100+ to cocked over with the front in the air, from commuting to work to 140 and accelerating. My feelings for this bike can be summed up simply, I would buy another one right now!!!
