Yughhhh!!!? What mess!? So much for those pretty engine covers.? That mess would have been noticed far earlier and remedied as well, had there been no cover...Just a wild guess...

That's accumulated in max one year, the mess is hidden under a plastic
cover. Pity is that it's on a car which is 11y old and worth probably
3kEUR. Drives great..we're just scared that it'll start to burn.
