Any good mirror replacement ideas?

If you can find some "mirror extenders" they help quite a bit. They are
basically just thick plastic spacers a couple of inches or so long, that you
install under the base of the mirror stalks that move the mirrors out an
inch or so (due to the forward angle). I can see past my elbows now. They
are rare, but shouldn't be difficult to make. I got mine back when someone
was making them in his garage IIRC.
