Problems:
Leaky fork seals and will need rotors and pads replaced. Could really use some fork springs and heavier oil. Tires are brand new but not at all happy with them! They break loose way to easy. Dunlops are going on ASAP! Bike has indicated 783 miles. Actual milage is no longer known. Biggest problem is I don't have enough seat time yet. I've only had it a month. This, however is an easy fix.

Comments:
I always wanted an FJ since Yamaha first made them. The first time I read about them, I thought "what more can they give us to ride that could beat this". This still holds true today. This is one amazing motorcycle, even with the weak front end and current tires. I put a few hundred miles on this bike when the front end was in good shape and had Dunlop Sport Elites. Which is the reason I now own it. I will keep this bike until something better is designed.

Have owned it since it's unveiling in spring 1984. Motorcycle of the year in virtually every magazine that year. Turned many heads back then, as no other motorcycle even compared to it's technology. Everywhere I stopped, it wasn't but a few moments that a small crowd had gathered. And for you old timers and new enthusiasts of the FJ 1100, take notice that this IS THE ORIGINAL SUPER BIKE that was the fastest (10.43 e.t. quarter mile) production bike of any kind in 1984, that has transformed into what you find on today's showroom floor. It's nice owning a motorcycle that was the foundation of a engineering change into the future that every sport bike company has copied, (and currently selling).
