Alloy ART race cans cheap, well made and on the loud side of very loud! - 60% stumble cure. New ECU - 30% stumble cure Suzuki damper

Problems:
Stumbles 3200 - 4000 rpm until almost cured Clutch slip as of yesterday, wide throttle opening at 7-8k rpm in 5th and 6th gears. Both adjusters are OK. Lack of compliance at the rear causing poor handling on bumpy roads. Runs cool, unlike its owner.

Out accelerates a RC 45 at 90 - 120 mph. Sounds quite wonderful. Probably about as tempermental as a Ducati? More fun than a VFR. How about posting the registry to Suzuki UK (and US)

The wished Heli bars were not installed, because the alteration is to complicate and the price (1700,-DM) for working to high (for me!). But it's my wonderful and best bike of the world. All people, really all people, who has seen/hear my bike are enthusiastic! Question: Grab rail in germany not available (said my dealer)! Who will affect an exchange? Rear with grab rail vs. my rear. Modifications:
Drilled both ends of the exhaust cans. Looks stock and sounds great. Lindemans reworked the Frt and Rear suspension. A MUST!!! Do not do anything radical until you have this done. All of the stickers on the frame and body/windshield are history, except the clear coated decal. Got any suggestions oot there on how to deal with tank decal? Reflectors past tense. Currently trying to figure out how to get rid of those 1970 size turn signals? Love the European BLACK TLS. The Swiss have a BMW/GS11 type rear mud guard that looks crazy. Suzuki's band aid for the suspension is the steering dampener. Cure the real problem Suzuki. Trying to find Metzeler MEZ4's inthe USA??

Problems:
To early to tell, but... the front end bottoms out, the rear end door opener and closer doesn't. The frt suspension adjustments are a marketing gimick and do not really work at all! Lindeman put a 9.5 lb springs in the front in place of the 7.3 which are stock. Revalved the Rotary. Stumble, bumble, cough, puke, die... silence. Also a bad early riser. Clutch slips from 6k to 9k. Could this be the slipper in action? Or just bad engineering? Oil is rising and Suzook is denying responsibility!

Comments:
Looking at Ducati 900 bars instead of giving Heli $300 smackers. I would prefer not to show a 'sucker' sign on my forehead. I have been waiting thirty years for the Japanes to produce this type of bike. A heavier flywheel would be more to my liking, ie Moto Guzzi/BMW. I am very pleased with the TL and would highly recommend it. Incredible performance for the price... It must be true that each TL1000S is unique. I have had no major problems to date... Still have ample tread to go on my tires after 4,000 miles.

Modifications:
1st service :- New shimms because dealer was instructed valves were too tight. CR8 NGK Pluggs fitted. ECU sent away, dealer said for chech. I was told that there was nothing wrong with my ECU, It was refitted. I have gone to fully sinthetic oil. Factory recal:- New steering damper fitted.

Problems:
Very slight stumble. Hesitation(surging or hunting)at steady speed. Slipping clutch if in a hurry in 1st gear, this is more like wheel spin on cold tyres. However now I can go to 7.5k I have had some minor clutch slip, I will keep an eye on this.

Comments:
After 1st service my TL came back rattley in the top end, when questioned my dealer said the sound was to do with the decompression mechanism, also the stumble and hesitation seemed to have gone, but after damper fitted the stumble and hesitation is back. The only other thing that has changed is a new tank of gas since 1st service. This bike is still an awsome piece of machinery. Red is definatly a faster colour, and sexier too.
