Accessories:
Two Brothers Carbon Fiber exhaust cans Suzuki steering damper, and new computer box
Problems:
Very few, the stumbling at low rpm was fixed by the new brain box that was just put in last week, other than that the bike is fantastic
Comments:
The bike is fantastic, adult owned, selling because the new TL1000R is ordered otherwise i would keep this one, it is red and in perfect condition. The price is $ 6,700. The few problems that i have had with this TL are completely erased when i take it for a ride, the smile on your face makes you forget the stumbling at low rpm. The paint and fit and finish are good the bike looks fantastic, it sounds great with the Two brothers pipes and it is faster than almost any other twin out there, and most big bore bikes onthe street because of the power that it makes down low.

Comments:
Suzuki has told me that it is normal for the battery to need charged every two weeks. (BS) I've encountered several problems with this bike and Suzuki has taken care of them under warranty. However, I do not believe that the battery should require charging every two weeks. Suzuki customer service is anything but helpful. Is there any place else to address this problem with?

none so far.. just the hassle of the steering damper recall. very dissappointing that it's such a cheap patchup job. riding near the equator! imagine a really hot place....it's much hotter here. forces you to start saying things like "officer, the devil made me do it" not as good as sex... although if someone would do something about the weather in this part of the world it may go close. i'm an alcoholic...oops. wrong website!!

Comments:
awesome machine. i've owned four ducati's and thought i'd never own anything else, but upon seeing the spec of this bike on paper and having ridden the new GSX-R750 i couldn't resist (120 plus hp just had to be tried). SUZUKI have screwed up. i cant believe that they didnt come across a lot of the well publicised PROBLEMS prior to release. Further i cant believe the way they've handled it. just at a time when they could have had the opportunity to make a real step away from the PLASTIC/THROWAWAY image that so many japanese products have... they screw it up. IF THE PERSON/PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE READ THIS..GIVE YOURSELVES AN UPPERCUT. here in singapore customer service is non-existent (actually a few people here could give themselves an upppercut...i gave myself one recently..it worked!) no matter what the product/industry you're operating in, but for SUZUKI in the UK and US to have such a poor response is inexcusable. AWESOME PERFORMANCE THOUGH. these northern european owners who claim the performance is nothing special have clearly been drinking far too much alcohol and watching far too many porn flicks. %$# unbelievable acceleration. handling leaves a little to be desired. hitting a bump mid way through a fast bend is a sphincter tightening experience...even with the damper. possibly the best thing about the bike is the price. it's almost half of what the ducati 996 SPS and delivers much more than half in return. i love ducati's but this suzuki is simply awesome ..all things considered.

Problems:
My two-wheeled urban crotch shaker used to stall at intersections until I turned up the idle from 1100 rpm to 1300 rpm.
Comments:
I love my ride, and I'm glad I live in a part of the country where I can ride all year 'round. I use it to commute back and forth to work, and for fun on the weekends. Racing is probably out of the question for me. I haven't lost all of my marbles yet. I might just take the seat to an upholstery shop and put on a little more padding. I definately want to get one of those black boxes which make the brake lights flicker when you apply the brakes. The best strategy for street riders is to be seen. I just came back from a week-long business trip to San Bernardino, CA. The ride was perfect, and my crotch shaker got a lot of stares and comments. Can't wait to do another long trip.

Problems:
Usual stalling and stumbling. Hard starting from cold.
Comments:
Tried it without steering-damper because it felt stiff and notchy (like tight head-bearings). It made some difference but too many mechanics and owners convinced me the '97 TL1000s needs a steering-damper. 1st service fixed steering-head bearings, the bike starts easier and seems to run smoother. It still stalls at traffic lights though.
