Accessories: Datatag, Alpha-dot system, Lazerline 860 alarm/immobilizer. Biggest f*** off chain and disc lock that I could get under the back seat
Modifications: Tinted screen, Indicator conversion into front headlights, Rear indicators into sides of rear fairing, Full Acraprovic race system, Rear seat cover, Painted the wheels (under warrenty)Bronze/brown, Head light protectors
Problems: Just the wheels paint finish coming off when I cleaned them, and a seep of oil coming from the alternator casing which is on going (gasket was changed, no good), Carb icing on the way to Portsmouth togoto Le Mans last year after filling up with BP fuel (don't use their fuel anymore, now I don't have a problem)
Comments:
Had the B2 before, which even though was heavy, was bloody fast (190+ on the clock) and planted. The new E1 hasn't got to that speed yet, but 165 with the girl on the back and it still wants some more. Before I set the suspension up it was quite flighty over the roads around here, but now ... its bloody marvellous. NO COMPLAINTS Next plan is to go to PDQ (top blokes) and get the beast on the dyno.
For Sale: I've got a long list of spares for the B series ranging from discs, Metmachex swingarm, and Remus Grandprix exhaust can, Plastics various (new and old) and lots more. If you need anything just send me an e-mail and i'll send you the complete list

Accessories: Fieldsheer Green/White/Purple jacket with black leather pants, HJC Green/Purple helmet (matches bike perfectly!), Sidi Vertebra boots, Green/White/Purple gloves.
Modifications: Vance & Hines S4 Titanium slip-on.
Problems: The only problem I've had is the white stickers on the bottom of the front fairing (the little white ones that go around 1 screw) started to bubble up and come off. Dealer says it's from ME tightening the screws too much, but it's too bad that I haven't touched the screws since the bike was only a month old! Dealer ordered new ones and installed them. Probably reamed out the goofball who put the bike together.
Comments:
I had the bike on the Dyno, the little green machine pushed out 138.2 horsies with the slip on pipe (No rejetting!!!) They said it was the smoothest bike through the RPM's there (perfect, steady climb, no jumps) I don't plan on getting it rejetted any time soon!!

Accessories: AGV universal leather pants/ with new AGV sport viper jacket. Agv carbon covered gloves.Have carbon fiber look helmet with mirror visor to go with bike. I will be getting a shoei zr1 helmet with chrome visor to replace the cheap one(my other shoei got totaled in wreck).
Modifications: mostly cosmetic; custom graphics(vinyl), solo seat cowling with passenger pegs & stalks removed, LOTS of carbon extras including: carbon fiber muffler bracket(pictures taken before bracket was put on),shortstalk lights for rear, and flush mount for front(both carbon look), carbon triple tree cover, carbon bar ends, and silver bike bolts for fairings. I have eliminated the fender, and have taken all of the stupid stock reflectors off the back and front(including brackets), also has aftermarket mirrors(fairing mount aerodynamic). I have moved the rear dampening unit to under the seat, and have removed the chainguard. This allows it to accommodate a 190 rear tire wich I plan to buy soon.It has a muzzy exhaust system. I've also blackened out the windscreen.
Problems: I had heard about the carbuerator stumble that this particular model seems to have. It seems mine has escaped this problem, or was fixed prior to my ownership. I have had mine for a short time, although, a friend of mine that works at a kawasaki dealer checked it out and said that it was a extremely well taken care of, and very mechanically sound bike. the only problems I've had, thus far, are a few skinned knuckles doing all of the modifications to it.
Comments:
words could hardly express how well this bike runs. I have owned a few other bikes. Currently looking for one for the wife, as we recently sold her other one(99 kawasaki ex250 ninja)to get a bigger bike for her, right before the zx9 I have now, I had a 1995 suzuki rf900r(have had many more bikes, but it would take too much time to talk about them). To say that I had spent time, energy, not to mention money on modifiying that machine (rf900r) would be a major understatement. Then one fatefull day in june, while traveling east on a local two lane highway, at about 60 mph, or so, some jerk going west decides that he did not want to wait for me, or the ten cars behind me, to turn LEFT, in front of me, into a fast food joint. My bike impacted on the passenger side of his 1997 Black Ford F-150 truck right where the cab meets the bed. I got lucky at this point, well sort of, I got thrown over the bed of the truck and into the oncoming lane of traffic where I then, according to the highway patrol, slid down the pavement about 1/8th of a mile. All I remember was waking up in the hospital later that evening. It seemed that all I suffered was some severe roadrash, and a few bruises. Anyway, needless to say it totaled my rf900r. Hell, it even totaled this guys truck. Apparently it cracked his frame. I was amazed when I heard that myself. All because this guy couldn't wait a few seconds for some cars to pass. Well out of the settlement came my zx9r, and continues to pay for any, and all of the modifications that I have done, and would like to do to it. This bike is a beauty
For Sale: okay, $500,000.00. Whats that? too much? oh well, looks like I have to keep it then.

Problems: No mechanical problems at all. I just wore my back tire down to the cords and installed Battlax BT010's. Great tires
Comments:
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

Comments:
I bought this ZX9 after a suicidal kangaroo destroyed my 99 model wich was a sad day.But on the bright side the handling is about 30% better. I have added an Pipemasters full system which is a Brisbane company who race zx9's and have some tasty bits for them. Their full system adds 2 more horespower than an Akrapovic system and costs $1900 less in Australian dollars. I rode the bike around with with just the exhaust for about 2000 kms but it made too much of a gap down low. So i added the K&N dynojet kit and Airfilter to smooth it out and it has added heaps more horsepower again. So much so that sometimes it just feels way too much for street use but its fun HEHEHE. It now power wheelies in third gear. I plan to add an alarm and some braided steel brake lines now and leave it at that cos what more do you need.

Accessories: Datatool Veto +, Tinted Screen, Carbon Hugger.
Modifications: A nice and load Scorpion end can plus a dynojet jit. Maybe not much difference to extra BHP, but definately improved drivability.
Problems: Where to start .....? 1:Carb icing. I thought that this problem was cured on C2 model but no, it's still there allright. 2:Difficult to start from cold, independent whether it's 2 or 20 degrees outside. It need at least 2 attempts @ 5 seconds each. After warm-up it almost always stalls when returning the choke. 3:When warmed up, it runs very "harsh", varying in idle speed and sounds generally rough and rattly. 4:Slack clutch wire. By the time for the first service, it was impossible to declutch fully, even with the handle dial set to maximum. 5:MOST SERIOUS - FALSE NEUTRALS. This is a disater on this bike, and from what I gather from e.g. this forum, it's not an uncommon problem. It shows mostly between 3-4-5 gears, but occasionally shows anywere. This problem has existed from my very first ride home after picking up the bike from the dealer.

Location: USA (NorthEast) -- Hamden Conn.
Experience: 6 years
Bikes Owned: 12
Accessories: Blue neon. looks awsome!!! But didnt survive the crash.
Modifications: Chopped the rear fender and sucked in the rear signals, total cost $0.00. If you would like to know how I sucked in the rear signals give me a call.
Problems: Hits a false nuetral between 4th and 5th alot. The dealership said that I wasn't used to the bike but thats a crock and it would do it in other gears as well. They will be repairing it over the winter. And I blew 3rd gear out on 9/20/99. The dealership initially said that I did the damage by not shifting correctly. But after showing them my insurance bill with 4 different bikes on it they changed their minds
Comments:
I have 2400mi. on the rear tire but I think I have another 500mi or so with the front tire in the air. ooppsie! updated on 3/8/2000. blew out 3rd gear on 9/20/99. dealership had it from that date untill 2/10/2000. during that 5 month vacation I had a carbon fiber muzzy exhaust put on. accidentally crashed on 9/19/99 after doing a wheelie and coming down just before a corner. ooppsiieee... dealership didnt set the jets right so they came and picked up the bike on 3/8/2000. clutch was slipping also so they have a lot to fix. Kawasaski warrentied the tranny at their cost so that cost me nothing. hehehehe =-).. UPDATED on 9/9/00..Well here it goes. #1 DO NOT go out with friends on a nice summer sunday to see who can do wheelies better #2 DO NOT have another friend video tape you doing such stupid things #3 and when you flip your bike over backwards doing 80+ mph DO NOT get run over by the guy behind you who is still doing a wheelie. It can turn into a very painfull experience.. On 8/6/00 my bike was laid to rest-----on the highway.. Very luckily and thankfully I wasnt!!!!!!!!! FUCK FEAR BUT RESPECT GRAVITY!!!!!!!!!!! yes she was totalled. I still havent found the speedo and tach yet, but I have heard reports that they got off the next exit together.. no broken bones no stitches just a shit load of road rash and a bike that flipped 12 times.. But after all is said and done that dam bike still started when I got it home, of course it only had one gear left and no choke. So I finished the video with me smoking the back tire untill it split in 2. The dealership wants some photos of that. R.I.P. my blue beauty! You've been good to me! next bike---->Truimph 955i Daytona.
